SURIN ISLANDS AND NIGHT NAVIGATION TO KOH TACHAI
Koh Tachai Island, located at the northernmost tip of the Similan National Park, is a recent addition to the park along with Koh Bon. The island covers 12 square kilometers and is situated 54 km from Baan Nam Khem Pier. The area surrounding Koh Tachai is ideal for SCUBA diving and snorkeling, offering encounters with impressive marine life like Whale sharks and Manta rays. The island's stunning white beaches and crystal-clear waters add to its allure, making it one of the top 10 diving destinations in the world, as recognized by the National Geographic Society. Koh Tachai welcomes tourists from November to April, providing a fantastic opportunity to explore its beauty and rich marine diversity.
KOH TACHAI, KOH BON AND DONALD DUCK BAY
Koh Bon is a renowned dive site known for potential sightings of manta rays. You can also encounter impressive marine species like Napoleon wrasse, great barracudas, sweetlips, and bluefin trevally. The dive sites at Koh Bon offer a diverse range of underwater landscapes, from wall diving to gently sloping reefs, and from submerging boulders to captivating coral gardens. Princess Bay (Haad Yai), located on the north face of Similan Island number four, is a beautiful bay with a stunning beach. It is our favorite spot to anchor and relax in the evening after a day of diving and snorkeling. An afternoon beach trip provides everyone with a break from underwater activities and allows them to experience the renowned super soft white sands that the islands are famous for. It's a perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Princess Bay.
Honeymoon Bay, situated on the eastern side of Similan Island 4 (Koh Miang), faces a small beach known as "Haad-Lek". This site is ideal for liveaboards to moor in the evening and enjoy a night dive, as it is not too deep. Additionally, you'll find small groups of rocks adorned with beautiful soft coral, adding to the site's charm and providing a captivating underwater experience.
